Toby Runner Up in Edinburgh 20mph Mascot Competition

When Toby McIntosh came second in City of Edinburgh's 20mph mascot competition, he won a smoothie bike session for his P7 class. Niall brought the bike, juice and fruit to school and they had great fun making delicious smoothies.

The class chose Sophie E's carton design as their favourite and she won a buff. Well done Sophie!

Sciennes Walking Bus 19th May 8.10am KB

As part of Walk to School Week, come and join us for the Sciennes' Walking Bus starting at King's Buildings on Tuesday 19th May 8.10am sharp. We will pick up people en route, including our Junior Road Safety Officers and Eco Reps. We will be walking down Mayfield Road, turning left into Relugas and right into Lauder Road. At the top of Lauder Road we will turn right and cross Grange Road with Crossing Guide.

We hope the route (see below) will become the established 'walking bus route' which pupils and staff will continue to use during Walk to School Week and beyond.

Friday 24th April Cycle to School Day

Friday April 24th is our first ride to school day this term. The route is the same as usual. We leave from King's Buildings at 8.20 and cycle along Mayfield Road, Causewayside and turn left into Sciennes House Place. Qualified ride leaders accompany the ride.

Photos of one of our previous rides -
Additionally many children and parents/carers join from the side roads along the route.
Good practice for the next day -
